The Doors Open Huronia Midland Trivia Contest and Tay “Magical History Tour” are now available at the locations indicated below. The booklets can also be picked up at any of the Midland and Tay participating sites during the Doors Open Huronia weekend!
Doors Open Midland Trivia Contest
Join us for an exploration of discovery among interesting historic properties in the Town of Midland during the Doors Open Huronia weekend. You will have the opportunity to answer questions at the Doors Open venues in addition to a few other locations near the centre of Town. Most questions can be answered by making 3 or 4 stops and exploring on foot. With the commemoration of 100 years since the start of World War I, some of the questions relate to the first “Great War”. These trivia contest questionnaires are available at the North Simcoe Sports and Recreation Centre (NSSRC) or the Midland Town Office before the weekend, or at any of the Doors Open venues. The answers must be left in sealed envelopes at any of the venues, at the NSSRC or at the Midland Town Office by noon (12:00 p.m.) on Monday, June 9th, 2014.
Doors Open Tay “Magical History Tour”
The Tay Township Heritage Committee will host a Doors Open Drive Yourself “Magical History Tour” for those wishing to explore further afield. The Tour will incorporate Doors Open and other heritage sites in Huronia. You will have instructions to follow and questions to answer. The Tour materials are available at the Tay Municipal Office before the weekend or at any Tay Doors Open venues.
